BIOGRAPHY

Davidson Makau Msagha is an advocate at the firm specialising in litigation arising from construction law, employment law, and conveyancing. In construction law, he represents clients in disputes involving contracts, defects, delays, and compliance with regulatory standards. In conveyancing, he manages the legal aspects of buying and selling properties, ensuring smooth transfer of ownership and resolution of any title issues. His role involces drafting and reviewing contracts, advising on legal risks, and negotiating settlements. He has strong analytical skills and pays attention to detail to safeguard his clients’ interests in both construction and property transactions.

Davidson Makau Msagha was admitted approximately a decade ago having completed his post graduate training at the Kenya School of Law (Passed all 9 units in one go).

He holds a LL.B Degree (2nd class upper division) from the prestigious University of Nairobi. He also has completed his CPA Part 1.

    • Handling arbitration, mediation and court proceedings related to breaches of contract, professional negligence and project disputes;
    • Successfully defended a county government against a claim for KES 100 million.
    • Advocating for employers and employees in disputes over wrongful termination, unfair labour practices, discrimination and workplace policies;
    • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, HR policies and collective bargaining agreements in line with the Employment Act, 2007;
    • Representing clients before the Employment and Labour Relations Court and in alternative dispute resolution forums.
    • Managing property transactions, including sales, purchases, transfers and leases for residential, commercial and agricultural land;
    • Conducting due diligence, preparing title documents and ensuring compliance with the Land Act, 2012, and Land Registration Act, 2012;
    • Resolving disputes arising from land fraud, boundary issues and succession matters.
